Our History

Founder Clifford Giese and his father Arnold realized there had to be a quicker, more convenient way to get an oil change, rather than dealing with the time and hassle of making an appointment. In 1976, they opened the first Mr. Lube location in Edmonton, Alberta. By 1984, the already growing company initiated a franchise program and began its next major expansion phase.

Mr. Lube has since evolved from Canada’s largest quick lube brand to a complete automotive maintenance service provider. Today, with 90 locations from coast to coast, and more opening every year, you no longer need an appointment to get warranty-approved service.
